MAKUPELI = Visual Consumer ProfilerDesire is a driving force in consuming brand products. High quality brand products are objects of dreaming for the beautiful future. Makupeli is reaching symbolic values and poetic levels of products form language. Makupeli is a research tool for taste perceptions in material products consumtion. Makupeli offers new kind of consumer barometers for mature business branch where culture and changing interior tastes are important macro level factors. Makupeli supports a user inspired design (UID) process and human-centered design where consumers’ creativity and their desires for products are taken account. Product design needs to apply consumers’ personal and cultural experiences in industrial strategies as well. The consumer point-of-view offers new possibilities in product personalization and mass-customization which requires new ways to communicate with customers. Makupeli is a visual research method which offers the creative activity of consumers in a poetic level. Human subject identifies oneself with the usable objects which will become an image of a persona.
